Official says Vice Governor of St Petersburg to head AvtoVAZ

SAMARA, May 23 (PRIME) -- Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Maxim Sokolov will be appointed as the CEO of Russian car producer AvtoVAZ, Governor of the Samara Region Dmitry Azarov told PRIME on May 21.

“The decision has been made on the highest level, consultations were taking place during many days, and I was involved as well. Maxim Yuryevich Sokolov is a man with huge managing experience… he will head AvtoVAZ,” he said.
